    A white beauty in Fiskardo

    Nestling within an olive grove, the villa blends in with the existing landscape, in order to maintain the natural beauty of the place.

    The traditional house is surrounded by herbs, whose intense yet delicate fragrance fills the air, such us Thyme, Rosemary, Mint and Sage. By the entrance are ornamental olive trees, and embracing the stone walls are splashes of graceful Bougainvilleas.

    Approaching the courtyard, one’s vision is taken by the presence of an age-old olive tree, and surrounding this piece are columns enveloped by aromatic Jasmine flowers. Alongside the pool are carpets of yellow, purple, and white lantanas which engulf the weathered rocks. Strolling along the garden’s walkway, one discovers large Cypress trees scattered around the landscape, and surrounded by clusters of blue Agapanthus and arrays of flowering Lavender. The garden contains many wild Thuya and Strawberry trees which contribute to this Mediterranean setting.

    The largest island in the Ionian Sea, Kefalonia, consists of groves of wild Olive trees surrounded by vast numbers of herbs and shrubs, which complete the beauty of its natural world and give uniqueness to the island. In the northern side lies the crown of Kefalonia, Fiskardo, in which much of the old Venetian architecture is still apparent. On the lush green hills overlooking Fiskardo, where one has a spectacular view of the Ionian Sea - the fishermen preparing the nets for their next trip, alongside rows of boats tied to the waterfront – Villa Kelia is positioned.
